Portugal Dreams updated! Property Purchased

We finally landed on a property in Figueira da Foz about half way between Porto and Lisbon, on the silver coast of Portugal.

FdF is a beach town that is up and coming.. The Mayor has lots of plans to restore FdF to its original glory and we feel fortunate to be part of this growth. The weather is absolutely gorgeous with nice hot weather in the summer and temperate temperatures during the winter.

We landed on a beautiful 3 bd 2 bth condo just close by the train station and the Marina. and a 15 minute walk to the beaches. We plan to live here and also rent it out when we are away while we live in the USA ( or someplace else!) We are expanding our property search as well. Currently looking at some properties close by where we live. We feel we know the area and feel that this is a good place to invest.

We got a 70% loan from a financial company called UCI. at a great interest rate ( before the rate hikes began) and so our current mortgage is less than 400 a month. Our monthly expenses are pretty low as well for grocery, internet, HOA and utilities .Compared to Canada we feel like the nouveau rich here where money is not a problem. Thanks in large part to our ability as digital nomads. Have computer can travel anywhere!
